Dear
Colleagues,
The
9th International Conference on Theoretical
and Computational Acoustics (ICTCA 2009)
will take place from 7th to 11th September,
2009, at the Dresden International Congress
Center.
It will be a forum for active researchers
from different areas of science related
to acoustics, seismics and wave propagation
in general,
to discuss state-of-the-art developments
and results in their area and also to
stimulate future research in the fields
of:
- |
Computational
aero-, seismo-, and ocean-acoustics,
hydroacoustics, bioengineering acoustics,
nonlinear acoustics, structural
vibrations and acoustics; |
- |
Multidimensional
wave propagation modelling: grid
methods (spectral, FD, FEM, FV,
BIE, BEM, etc), particle and meshless
methods, ray techniques, symbolic
methods, ODE methods; |
- |
Wave
propagation in borehole, rocks,
fluid-solid interfaces, anisotropic
media, viscoelastic, porous and
fractured media, as well as random
media; |
- |
Solution
methods for large-scale problems
(iterative solvers for indefinite
systems, multi-frequency methods,
etc.); |
- |
Mid-frequency
range, coupling of deterministic
and statistic methods; |
- |
Analysis
of uncertainties, probabilistic
and possibilistic approaches; |
- |
Computational
and experimental seismology; |
- |
Multidimensional
wave propagation modelling; |
- |
Shallow
water acoustics and environmental/bottom
parameter extraction; |
- |
Random
Wave Fields and Ambient Noise; |
- |
Environmental
noise modelling; |
- |
Ultrasonic
wave propagation and nondestructive
testing; |
- |

infinite elements, PML; |
- |
Real
applications, experimental results
and signal processing techniques; |
You are invited to present
a paper in this Conference.
The Conference is also open to proposals
for the organization of special sessions.
If you wish to propose a special session,
please contact the Chairman of the Organizing
Committee, Dr.
Steffen Marburg, by January
15, 2009.
Please
check this website regularly for updated
information.
We look forward to seeing you at ICTCA
2009.
With our best Regards,
The Conference Organizing Committee |
